Leah Messer, star of Teen Mom 2, seems to be better now that she is out of rehab for stress and depression. Because of that the reality TV star is now seeing the world with different eyes and has decided not to file for full rights on her twins with ex Corey Simms. Does she not want to win her two girls back?
In October 2015, the 25 year old Leah Messer lost custody of her 7 year old twin daughters Ali and Aleeah. The reason was that her ex accused her of allegedly always dropping them late for school. In January 2016 the custody of the little girls was split 50/50, and it looks like this is the best arrangement they could’ve reached.
When asked about whether she’s like to file for full custody, the reality star answered: “Absolutely not. I think the way that it is right now is great. It works for both of the kids and us.”
Furthermore, it looks like her relationship with Corey Simms, who in the past accused her of drug use and critiqued her parenting, has also been improving lately.
“We actually co-parent great,” she stated about Simms and his wife Miranda. “We get along good. We’re in a very good place.”
When asked about Jeremy Calvert, the other man with whom she had a baby, she mentioned that they also co-parent “pretty well”, although she rarely sees his current fiancé Brook Wehr. However, she is very supportive of the new couple.
“If they’re happy then I’m happy for them,” she said about their engagement news.
Although both her exes have moved on and found happiness with other women, Leah says that she is not yet ready for another relationship.
“Honestly, I’m just focusing on myself and the girls. That’s the only thing I’m working on.”
The new season of Teen Mom 2 premieres Monday, January 2 at 9/8c on MTV.
