Model Rock Genest widely known by his nickname Zombie Boy due to having 90% of his body tattooed, has passed away at the age of only 32. Although there are not many details about his sudden death, it is believed that he committed suicide.
The model was probably most recognized as the co-star of Lady Gaga in her ‘Born This Way’ music video.
In fact, the singer who had become a friend of his, took to social media to write a touching tribute to the model.
iHeartRadio Canada was the first to report the untimely passing of Rock Genest.
Apparently, Zombie Boy’s lifeless body was discovered in his Montreal home earlier today.
Lady Gaga was quick to tweet about his death writing: ‘The suicide of my friend Rick Genest, Zombie Boy is beyond devastating. We have to work harder to change this culture, to bring Mental Health to the forefront and to erase the stigma that we cannot talk about it. If you’re suffering, call a friend or family today. We must save each other.’
She went on to say that ‘Science tells us it takes 21 days to form a habit if you are suffering from a Mental Health issue I beckon for today to be your first day or a continuation of the work you have been doing. Reach out if you are in pain, or if you know someone who is, reach out to them too.’

The regretted model was well known for his tattoos that made him look like a living skeleton with an exposed brain.
The body art covered most of his skin, including his face and shaved head.
At the age of 16, before starting tattooing his entire body, the man was diagnosed with a brain tumor which is when he started contemplating suicide.
The surgery he went through proved successful although it involved the removal of half his brain.
After gaining fame on social media and gathering no less than 1.5 million followers in just a little over a year, he got the attention of Lady Gaga who then featured Zombie Boy in her Born This Way music video.
In the clip, the artist replicated his face tattoos.
