Kylie Jenner is caught between a rock and hard place. She wants to be supportive of Kanye West, but she has to back her baby daddy, Travis Scott, who is set to appear on Saturday Night Live.
Kim Kardashian’s husband appeared on SNL where he called members of the cast bullies and gave a pro-Donald Trump speech that angered many.
A source told Hollywood Life: “Kylie is on Kanye’s side all the way and hates the way he’s being bullied without anyone really trying to understand what he’s saying. She sees how quickly people are jumping to judgment and it makes her sad because she knows Kanye’s heart is a hundred percent in the right place. But as much as Kylie loves and supports her brother-in-law, she is also going to continue to avoid commenting on his behavior or defending his politics. Kylie is a smart businesswoman building her billion-dollar brand so as much as she loves Kanye, she is going to continue to try not to get involved in his controversial opinions.”
The insider added: “She feels like Kanye is being misunderstood right now. Kylie feels strongly that if people would really take the time to hear what he has to say and investigate it for themselves, they would be on his side.”
While Travis is on the show, the cast plans to mock Kanye.
Another source claimed: “The cast felt railroaded by Kanye’s outburst at the end of the show, but they are now using it as a means to find humor from it. The entire cast are now writing and pitching skits and giving jokes to the Weekend Update team to get the last laugh on Kanye on what he did.”
The insider stated: “No one seems to care that Travis Scott is the musical guest and almost related to Kanye. All the cast seems to care about is to joke on him heavily this week for what he did with his Trump outburst.”
Kanye told the audience after his performance while wearing a MAGA hat: “They said, ‘don’t go out there with that hat on. They bullied me backstage. And then they say I’m in a sunken place. You want to see the sunken place? Okay, I’ma listen to ya’ll now — or I’ma put my Superman cape on, cuz this means you can’t tell me what to do. Follow your heart and stop following your mind. That’s how we’re controlled. That’s how we’re programmed. If you want the world to move forward, try love.”
Kim backed Kanye’s rant.
