While on 92.3 today, Kim Kardashian revealed a very interesting question her oldest, North has asked her – ‘Mom, why are you famous?’ Knowing what jumpstarted the KUWK star’s career, it seems like that might have been a little awkward to answer.
During the funny interview for Big Boy, Kim revealed that starring in a Fendi campaign at the age of only five might have caused little North to wonder how exactly she got that opportunity and therefore the dreaded fame question.
It is a well-known fact that what really brought Kim Kardashian and then, by extension, the rest of her family in the spotlight was her leaked sex tape so it’s safe to say she would rather not go there with her daughter right now.
‘I was like ‘Oh, okay. I am going to have to explain this right now.’ And I’m like, ‘We have a TV show,’ she shared, repeating once again, awkwardly: ‘We have a TV show.’’
‘And she was like, ‘Oh, okay.’ And you know. That was the first time she was like, ‘Oh!’’
While pretty awkward, it was definitely the right answer as, after over a decade of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the show is what the big family is most well-known for today. Besides, North is too young to know about that stuff.
Kim also explained on the radio show that ‘We kind of make that pact with each other. Even if we’re not obviously filming at a time when something goes down, we film every aftermath, we show everything that happens afterwards. We open up about anything and everything we’re going through. We’re always super open. It’s therapeutic. We said if we’re going to do it, then let’s really do it.’
