Upcoming WWE Hall of Fame inductee, Kurt Angle, has killed rumors that he will be returning for a surprise appearance at Royal Rumble this weekend. Kurt, who will headline the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2017, isn’t ruling out a return to the squared circle, he’s just saying that a surprise return this weekend is simply false.
Angle, who fights independent now, recently pulled out of a wrestling event in Scotland happening this weekend – which has led some people to believe that he would be making an appearance at the Royal Rumble.
However, the Former WWE superstar has bluntly shot down the rumor, saying that it’s not happening.
The wrestler said that a lot of people are assuming and a lot of writers are writing about his “return”, but he hasn’t spoken to the WWE about anything after their WWE Hall of Fame talks.
He is pretty sure that the WWE is going to want to do something eventually – which might be wrestling related or not – because he’s pretty much attached to them for the rest of his life. There’s no indication it could happen though, but he’s excited for his new relationship with Vince McMahon and the WWE.
Angle also shared his thoughts on Hulk Hogan. He believes the WWE legend will get a second chance – it’s just a matter of time. Hulk Hogan is a staple of wrestling and sports entertainment, and he is absolutely the biggest name in wrestling. He added that along with a few superstars like Stone Cold and The Rock, Hulk Hogan has given so much to wrestling.
He made sure to emphasize that Hulk Hogan is a great guy and has relationships with people of every race, and that Hogan might have been in a bad place when he made those racial slurs that were caught on camera.
Could we see a Hogan-Angle fight in the future?
