Kristen Stewart really knows how to have a good time, even on the red carpet. The actress was photographed doing what lots of women only dream of, but few of them are brave enough to do.
While she was on the red carpet at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival in France on Monday evening, May 14th, she took off her heels.
She arrived in the rain with her very own umbrella holder, and she was wearing a sexy metallic silver Chanel Couture dress.
She was attending the premiere of Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman, which stars Corey Hawkins and Topher Grace.

Her gesture could have also been a dig at the expectation for women to wear heels at festivals, which made headlines and spawned the term ‘heelgate’ back in 2015 after well-dressed women were denied entrance into a screening due to their flat shoes that they were wearing.
Kristen later addressed the whole saga to The Hollywood Reporter, saying: ‘If you’re not asking guys to wear heels and a dress, you can not ask me either.’
Gender equality is something that Kristen believes in with all her heart, and she had a strong presence in promoting it at the festival. She also teamed up with Cate Blanchett and Ava DuVernay on Saturday to march and point the lack of female directors at the festival in the past years.
