Kim Kardashian’s police statement after the Paris robbery is out and it has some interesting details, after the 36-year-old celebrity amply described the whole event, giving essential details for the investigation.
Kim spent one hour with the law enforcement officers and told them how the robbers deprived her of jewelry worth $10 million, including her $4 million diamond engagement ring.
Kanye West’s wife was in Paris at that time, for Fashion Week, and on October 3, after an exhausting day, at about midnight, she went to her suite alongside sister Kourtney and friend Simone Harouche. An hour later, the two left and Kim decided to slip into a bathrobe and made herself comfortable. At some point, she heard some noise at the door and masked men walked in. They went into Kim’s bedroom and held her down, taping her hands, mouth and legs. With their victim immobilized, the robbers took her into her bathtub and then took the load.
Threatened at gunpoint, the 36-year-old star was forced to reveal the location of her jewelry, including her $4 million engagement ring. The robbers also took her phones, an iPhone 6 and a Blackberry. Although masked, the offenders let some details slip. Kim stated that one of them, who asked her about the ring, had a strong French accent, was skinny and dressed completely in black.
Among the stolen jewelry were a Jacob gold and diamond necklace, Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings, a diamond cross-shaped necklace, a gold Rolex and a necklace that had the name of her son, Saint, encrusted in diamonds.
French police has released the names of ten suspects a few days ago. Several of them are in their 50s and 60s, hence the name the French media gave to the gang, the ‘grandpa robbers’.
