Kim Kardashian’s KKW Body fragrance was said to resemble Jean Paul Gaultier’s efforts dating back in 1993. Now, she’s hitting back after being accused that her new perfume bottle copies his Classique bottle which also features a woman’s body, but without arms, legs, and head.
‘Sculptures were my inspiration, but I love that bottle. It’s iconic and celebrates the woman’s body, but my inspiration was a statue. I wanted [mine] to be really personal with my exact mold, but I’ve always loved the Gaultier bottles,’ Kim stated.
We also reported that this might not be the only reason for which Kim took a mold of her own body as she also revealed she is making it into a big sculpture.
Kim’s latest KKW Body Fragrance proves that she really knows how to sell a sexy product and sexy in general. As we already said, the bottle was molded after her own body.
‘Overall, it’s a really sexy fragrance. It reminds me of summer. It just evokes a sexiness to me,’ Kim told E! News in an interview over the phone.
‘Yes, it is definitely revealing, but I’ve been revealing. I don’t think that’s anything new. I don’t get why people are so shocked when I do a revealing shoot. I do so many of them,’ Kim explained, referring to the social media backlash.
‘I did do another shoot. It was in the same art gallery…I ended up liking the more nude images better. I thought, ‘There’s no better time. If there’s ever a time to do this, this is the product. This is the fragrance.’
She also said that she’s been working out hard for the past ten years and she has never looked so good as she does not, and this was also a reason for which she decided to use her own body as an inspiration for the fragrance bottle.
