Kim Kardashian is taking her political activism to the next step. According to new reports, Kim Kardashian is looking at getting her law degree. In fact, the 41-year-old rapper, during an interview with Extra on Friday, dished on Kim’s passion regarding prison reform.
The shoemaker told the outlet that he “loves it,” and he and his wife are focused on getting 2 million people out of prison, primarily, African-Americans, who have been wrongly imprisoned.
“We’re going to get people out, period,” West said that his wife is currently attending law school and the entire ordeal is incredibly important to the both of them.
However, later on, a representative said to reporters from the Today Show that Kim wasn’t actually in school, but is intending on continuing on her path to legal activism.
Two days earlier, the 37-year-old reality star went to the White House yet again to speak with some of Donald Trump’s aides. Reportedly, Kim listened in on a conversation with Van Jones, Jared Kushner, and Jessica Jackson Sloan, and a few other key individuals.
Currently, the reality star is working to get Chris Young out of prison, who apparently is incarcerated for a drug charge that the West family feels is unjust.
During a podcast episode of Wrongful Conviction, Kim dished on prison reform, and what she’s been up to lately. The star said that she just heard of a man who got life in prison, and “it’s so unfair.”
The man is now 30-years-old, and he’s been in prison for approximately 10 years. Kim said it was time for “real systemic change.” Previously, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star managed to secure the early release of Alice Marie Johnson, who was given a long sentence, 22 years of which she had already served.
