Kim Kardashian’s instinct to protect her youngest daughter, Chicago West, may actually do more harm than good. During the launch of her KKW Fragrance at Ulta Beauty on Thursday, the star admitted to Extra TV that she had sent Chicago to stay with her sister, Khloe, in Cleveland, because everyone in her household has the flu.
“Yesterday was a hard day because we have the flu going around,” the 38-year-old explained. Kim said she sensed there was the flu virus in the home, so she knew it would be best for her 10-month-old baby to be out of the house for a few days.
While she’s certainly being a good mother by caring for her child, one could argue that Kim is robbing Chicago of her chance to slowly work up an immune system to influenza and other illnesses.
Nevertheless, speaking with Khloe on the phone, Kim asked her sister to do her a favor and have Chicago at the house for a few days. As most fans of the Kardashian family know, Khloe is staying in Cleveland, Ohio, at the moment with her basketball playing boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, as well as their first baby, True.
On Thursday, Khloe shared an image of her babysitting gig on social media, showing off the way she and the rest of her family have been bonding so much lately.
Recently, the Good American co-founder explained why she wanted Kim to be her child’s legal guardian over Kourtney Kardashian during an episode in September of this year.
Khloe said that when watching Kim be a mother, Khloe really respects how she parents the kids. She respects Kourtney’s as well but relates to Kim’s a little more. For that reason, having Kim as the legal guardian makes the most sense.
According to Khloe, it doesn’t even matter who the legal guardian is, because either way, someone will take care of her baby. She and the rest of her family are so close together and “love each other so much.”
As it was previously reported, Khloe welcomed her first baby, True, in April of this year. Kim has three kids, North, Saint, and Chicago, who are 5, 3, and 10-months-old, respectively.
