Kim Kardashian is happy with her new body weight following a diet and exercise regiment, however, many people online accused her of promoting an unhealthy lifestyle, in addition to body image issues.
In several different clips of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters, the women are joking around about how Kim’s waist “looks anorexic,” and as if she hasn’t been “eating.”
Meanwhile, Kim loves the attention and probes her sisters to continue complimenting her and making her feel better. Later on, the 37-year-old was on Ashley Graham’s podcast, Pretty Big Deal, and apologized for her comments that some found offensive.
“Looking back in having said that, I 100% completely understand where people would be coming from that felt that way,” the reality star remarked. She added that it’s never her intention to hurt anyone’s feelings.
The beauty mogul said she has known people throughout her life who have struggled with eating disorders, including some individuals who were in and out of the hospital.
Jamie Feldman from The HuffingtonPost wrote an article that the sisters were making on Kim’s body, explaining them not as “compliments,” but dangerous and “irresponsible notions.”
Previously, Kim came under fire yet again in May for advertising lollipops that were supposed to be appetite suppressing. Jameela Jamil, from The Good Place, accused the Kardashian sister of being a “terrible and toxic influence on young girls.”
As fans of the Kardashian family know, they’re always embroiled in some kind of controversy, usually not of their own doing. When your combined followers on social media is over a billion, one has to get used to scrutiny and criticism, it’s just a part of business.
