It has been two years since Kim Kardashian West called Taylor Swift a “snake” after the singer’s fallout with Kanye West, and Swift’s fans commemorated the occasion on social media with the trending hashtag “KimApologizeToTaylor.”
Lately, Swift has been out of the spotlight, but she also took advantage of the anniversary of the start of her feud with Kim K. by stepping out in New York City wearing a Kate Spade snakeskin backpack – making it clear she hasn’t forgotten.
Back in 2016, Swift claimed that she did not give West permission to use the lyrics, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that b***h famous,” in his song Famous.

According to OK! Magazine, after Swift made the claim, Kardashian called her a “snake,” and released audio from a phone call between the rapper and the singer where she seemingly did approve of the lyrics. This reignited a nasty feud that started in 2009 when West interrupted Swift’s speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when she was accepting the award for Video of the Year.
In the last couple of years, fans have flooded both women’s social media accounts with both snake and rat emojis to show their support, but the feud eventually died down.
But, Swift’s fans were very aware that this week marked the second anniversary of the release of the audio from the infamous phone call, and they took to Twitter to demand an apology from Kardashian.

Some also made comments, including one who wrote that Katy Perry has apologized, so now it is Kardashian’s turn. The tweets obviously got the mom of three’s attention because she tweeted, “Wait it’s legit National Snake Day?!?!? They have holidays for everybody, I mean everything these days!”
Some celebrities have also shown their support for the Look What You Made Me Do singer. Selena Gomez wore a Reputation t-shirt with the snake motif when she attended Swift’s Pasadena concert in May. And, Bella Hadid has rocked a snake-print crop top.
But, not everyone is on Swift’s side. One fan celebrated the “anniversary of Kim Kardashian absolutely ending Taylor Swift.”
