Khloé Kardashian knows what it’s like to transform her body, and she understands the effort it takes to become physically fit. When she spoke to a cast member during the second season of Revenge Body, the 33-year-old – who is now pregnant with her first child – revealed that her family inadvertently pressured her into changing her weight.
Kardashian emphasized the importance of mannerisms, rather than the meaning of words themselves. The Kardashian sister said she’s “a huge believer in it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it.”
Khloe claimed that her family told her she needed to “lose the weight” because she was “hurting the brand.” And despite the fact that she knew her family’s words came from the right place, it still made her feel terrible at the time.
She said it came from the “management side of the family,” but it still hurt either way. As you may know, Khloé has been more than candid regarding her weight change after stepping into the spotlight back in 2007.
During an interview in August of 2015, Kardashian said to Complex magazine that she was “down thirty-five” pounds but still needed to keep going.
Her weight-loss did not come on its own, however. In fact, Khloé revealed that her breakup with Lamar Odom contributed to her radical lifestyle change.
After she and her husband of the time split up, she decided that she needed to go to the gym to “de-stress.” Fans will remember her relationship with Lamar as an, especially turbulent one. Bodom continually engaged in substance abuse and it was an emotional drain on Khloé.
