Amid many divorces that are taking place in the Hollywood scene, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s has finally come to an end and the two are officially over. Although separation is never considered a happy occurrence, we cannot help but feel like it is the best thing for the two and that now they are truly free and are feeling relieved, ready to move on with their lives. Congrats!
The two have decided to get married just a month after they met. When we think about that, it comes as no surprise it didn’t last, it was too rushed and they didn’t have enough time to really get to know each other. The dissolution of their marriage is set to legally occur in December 17.
Their prenup shows that the two decided not to pay each other any spousal support.
The way in which their belonging sharing was established is as follows: Khloe would be able to keep all of her “clothing, jewelry, watches, coins, collectibles, and cash.” Fairly enough, Lamar is going to keep his as well.
When it comes to more important things like the private property and businesses in which they equally invested time and money, it was decided their production company, Khlomar, would be equally split as well as their joint checking account. The marital home was sold and Lamar is keeping his $401,000 plan for the NBA.
Khloe Kardashian is getting all of her interests in the DASH boutique while they both get to keep their respective accumulated airline miles.
The divorce would have been finalized a long time ago considering Khloe filed the papers in 2013. However, after Odom’s life was threatened by a drug overdose in 2015, she chose to withdraw the documents and stood by his side until complete recovery.
Even though legally they were still husband and wife, Khloe dated basketball player Tristan Thompson while Odom remained single until recently when he was spotted in the company of a mysterious woman.
