Kevin McKidd and his marriage to Jane Parker is officially over in the eyes of the law. Kevin – who portrays Dr. Owen Hunt on Grey’s Anatomy – announced back in July of 2016 that he and his wife decided to end it after nearly 20 years of marriage, 17 to be exact.
Kevin and Jane have two children together, the 17-year-old boy, Joseph, and Iona, 15. At a later date, journalists discovered the now-estranged couple had split up back in October of 2015 and filed the divorce papers nearly a week before the original reports.
According to a story from E! News, the couple made their divorce final on the 22nd of December. The former lovebirds will share legal custody, and Kevin will pay his ex-wife $22,400 in child support each month and pay for their kids’ private school and summer camp.
Additionally, the former Grey’s Anatomy star will pay $60,096 in spousal support and twenty percent of the money he receives that’s over $3 million per annum.
After their children together hit their 18th birthday, McKidd will no longer have to pay child support but will continue to pay her $12,147 per month for four years afterward.
Furthermore, Kevin and Jane agreed to what’s called a “nesting arrangement” when it comes to the physical custody of their kids.
According to a report from Us Weekly, the children will stay at their home in LA, and the parents will take turns living with them.
Regarding their living situation, Kevin and his ex-wife will both retain one house each and will share the ownership of their third home together that they own in Malibu, Florida. Not only will she get her own house, but Jane will also have the rights to a 2014 Chevy Volt.
