In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Tiffany Haddish, the star of Girls Trip, revealed Kevin Hart once gave her money while she was homeless and living in her car. The publication sat down with the recently discovered actress because of her upcoming film with Hart, Night School, which is scheduled for a release this summer.
When speaking with the magazine, Haddish said at the time she was working with Kevin for a sketch comedy show called Comedy Playground.
It was there where Kevin gave her money to help her with her growing career, but not before offering her words of advice which offended her sensibilities. Hart told her she was a “beautiful woman” and could easily find a man who would have her live in his house with him.
But Tiffany admitted she wasn’t down to sleep with a man and be in a relationship with him for a place to live. It goes against her morals and dignity.
She stated, “I’m not sleeping with nobody for a roof over my head.” Kevin told her, “Oh, yeah, that’s really commendable, look at your homeless a*s.”
Kevin suggested she write down all of her aspirations and goals in life and start a plan to begin working toward them. The actor/comedian also gave her $300 to get a motel room.
Haddish revealed, since then, she and Kevin are great friends and whenever they see each other Hart tells her he is so proud. The comic frequently gives her advice; sometimes she listens and sometimes not.
However, whenever she doesn’t take his lessons seriously, she often finds herself regretting it afterward. She said, “sometimes I don’t. And then I’ll be like, ‘Dang, I should’ve listened.'”
As you may know, Tiffany recently became a Hollywood sensation following her successful role in the movie, Girls Trip, along with Jada Pinkett-Smith. Tiffany didn’t receive a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the film, something which Jada heavily criticized.
