Our hearts were overjoyed when it was announced that Kenya Moore had found the love of her life and married him last summer. The news that the newlywed was expecting a child set her fans over the edge. Now, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is opening up about how her pregnancy is coming.
It’s been Kenya’s lifelong dream to have a husband and a family ever since we were first introduced to the Queen of Twirls in season five of the show. Jumping headfirst into relationships with people like the “hired” tow truck driver and extremely aggressive Matt Jordan, it didn’t seem like the former Miss USA winner was coming any closer to finding her prince charming.
That was until last summer when it was announced that Kenya married a restaurateur/businessman, Marc Daly. Not too long after, the couple was spotted in the islands at a fertility clinic.
By the time the taping of the season ten reunion came around in March, the 47-year-old announced that she was expecting.
In an interview with People Magazine, she reveals that her IVF went smooth as can be and her pregnancy is the same.
“I’m tired, obviously. I don’t have the stamina that I had before, so I’m taking it a little easy — not working out and going on long walks with the dogs and things like that. But it’s nothing … I don’t feel that bad. I don’t feel hyper-emotional. I have a little bit of sensitivity to smells that make me nauseous, and had a slight loss of appetite. But I’ve been okay!” she tells the publication.
As for what the sex of the baby is, they won’t know until he or she comes.
Kenya explains: “We’re going to try to not find out. We want to be surprised and we want to make it as natural as we can at this point. We just want a healthy baby. And it doesn’t matter to either of us — boy, girl, we don’t really care.”
What do you think the sex of the baby will be?
