Kenya Moore Pays Homage To Late Grandmother Doris With Touching Photo

Kenya Moore is remembering Doris Grant. Kenya was given to her late grandmother, Doris, when she was only three days old.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star was loved and cared for by Doris while her teenage parents — Patricia Moore and Ronald Grant — more or less disowned her.
In a past interview, she spoke about the nonexisting relationship between herself and her biological mother by saying: “Since birth, my mother decided to pretend she never had me. She has never spoken to me. Even if present in the same room with other people and family, she pretends that I simply don’t exist. She pretends I’m invisible.”
Doris’ love and encouragement led to Kenya graduating from high school and later attending Wayne State University, where she studied psychology.
At the age of 22, Kenya became the second African-American woman to win Miss USA. In 2017, Kenya’s loving grandmother passed away and today would have been her birthday.
Marc Daly’s wife, who is pregnant with her first child, remembered the special lady who raised her.
She wrote: “Very tough day for me… On this day an Angel was born. I miss you. Love of my life. #grandmother.”
One fan said: “It’s hard-losing someone you love. Remember the good times. I’m sure she’d be proud.I know your grandma was & is very special to you. Bigs hugs my friend.”
Another commenter claimed: “My condolences. I pray that God will strengthen your heart! I know she was so proud of you! I keep hearing her say give her to me what a blessing to have had her in your life!”
A third person stated: “I am so sorry For you Rest In Peace. Congratulations to you and your new husband on the baby. You are now back to your glowing, stress-free and positive self. The PSA that you produced was outstanding, and I see you collaborating with Oprah, Tyler Perry, Taraji and all the major players. However, I was disappointed with you on Sunday night. Andy loves to stir the pot, and Michael Rap did not want to be in the Queen’s presence. Remember the Queen must show compassion, instead of on clapping back. Anyone can love a friend, but can you love the unlovable ( like Jesus ).”
Kenya has taken center stage in this season of RHOA.
