Kendall Jenner has finally decided to post a response to the hate she received about a month ago for her ‘Vogue Spain’ photo shoot that featured her as a ballerina.
Many actual ballerinas took apart her Instagram as soon as the pictures were posted, claiming that she does not deserve to just pose as a dancer and romanticize the otherwise excruciating daily, hours-long training that goes into perfecting the art of ballet.
One of the people roasting Kendall for her shoot was Abby Lee Miller who said: “I don’t make a habit of commenting on all the dancers that post pics with incorrect technique, but I cannot be a fan of this shoot. There are so many amazing dancers in this world … Kendall Jenner is not one of them!”
In her response, Kendall chose to mock the scandal by comparing it to other more pressing problems that people may be offended by.
“It’s so funny that people are getting pregnant and married – or having crazy drama – but my drama is ballerinas being upset at me.” The model said.
“With my Vogue Spain shoot, I didn’t even know I was going to be a ballerina until I went into hair and makeup,”
We have to admit that she is right and this is not something people should be so offended about considering she is neither the first nor the last to take such pictures, but the internet is a complicated place and people will say whatever because there are no direct repercussions.
They need to understand though, that playing a role should not be offensive because it is merely portraying someone, not claiming to be that someone – acting.
She continued, “It confuses me how people can get that upset when there are so many important things going on in the world.”
“But it’s obviously not going to stop me from working hard and being me.”
