Kendall Jenner is having a Pepsi commercial moment again. This week, Kendall made her list of enemies in the modeling industry a bit longer than before.
Talking to LOVE magazine, the reality TV star appeared snobbish and privileged as she revealed that she has the luxury to pick the modeling gigs she wants to do.
Kim Kardashian’s little sister was gleeful, and she bragged about being selective while dissing her peers.
Kendall said: “Since the beginning, we’ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do like 30 shows a season or whatever the f–k those girls do. More power to them. But I had a million jobs, not only catwalks but everything else. The whole combination was very overwhelming, and I started to freak out a little bit and needed to take a step back.”
A long list of models bashed Kendall and now she is fighting back. She shared a series of tweets responding to her critics and blaming the magazine for the quotes.
She opened her response with: “I was misrepresented in a recent interview over the wknd & it’s important to clarify the meaning. It was intended to be entirely complimentary, but unfortunately, my words were twisted & taken out of context. I want to be clear. The respect that I have for my peers is immeasurable!”
Kendall went on to say: “I get to experience first hand their tireless commitment, their work ethic, the endless days, the lack of sleep, separation from family and friends, the stress of traveling, the toll on physical and mental health, yet they still make it all look effortless and beautiful.”
She concluded by: “I’m inspired by so many of these people I have had the good fortune to work alongside! There’s no way I could EVER hate on that I want everyone to win. SLAY ALWAYS. Cultivate kindness today and always.”
Not many people will buy what Kendall is selling — blaming the magazine for her words will probably lead to more backlash.
Some say she might also profit from the controversy.
