As it turns out, it is not all hate between Kelly Ripa and her co-host, Ryan Seacrest. A source has revealed that Ripa feels more comfortable and is happier working with Seacrest compared to Michael Strahan who blindsided her in 2016.
A few months ago, when it was reported that the American Idol host would be replacing Mr. Strahan on LIVE!, the rumor mill went wild. Some publications said that Ripa was not the one who picked Seacrest to be her co-chair.
It was stated that ABC forced Ripa to accept the media mogul as a colleague because he was being groomed to take back his hosting gig on American Idol that was recently moved to the Alphabet Network.
Rumors were saying that the pair was feuding behind the scenes because their ratings were dropping like flies.
According to insiders, who spoke to Closer via Life and Style, the rumors could not be further from the truth.
An audience member, who took part in the taping of an episode of LIVE!, said when the cameras are off the duo giggled like school children. The person claimed: “They kept making each other laugh. They are very in sync with each other.”
An insider confirmed the claim by telling Life & Style: “With Ryan, Kelly feels like she’s met her match. She says this has been the best few months she’s had on the show since she joined 16 years ago. They talk to each other about their lives. They even co-hosted a Halloween party this fall. Kelly feels like Ryan has her back.”
The same source went on to reveal that Ripa feels very relaxed around Seacrest because she knows that she can trust him.
The mother of three has had very private conversations with Seacrest and is pushing him to get married to his longtime girlfriend, Shayna Taylor.
The individual shared: “Working day-to-day has been a learning and growing experience for both of them. Kelly is pushing Ryan to put a ring on it. She and [her husband, Mark Consuelos], told Ryan he is not getting any younger and he will not find anyone better than Shayna.”
Ripa and the mega-producer are happy to be beating Megyn Kelly Today.
