Wednesday, September 7, Kellan Lutz had a chat with Us Weekly Video, a chat that turned out to be very interesting. In a context regarding his career and his plans for the future, he said he would love to play He-Man, the beloved character from the 1980s cartoons and comic books. In fact, the 1987 Masters of the Universe movie is getting a remake soon. Currently, the team is working on the script and Kellan Lutz hopes to get an audition for his favorite part when the script is ready.
In fact, he has been teasing the audience about the movie for quite a while now. Back in June he tweeted that he met with McG, who directs the movie. Fans got their hopes and expectations really high after seeing that he is interested in collaborating with DeVon Franklin for the upcoming movie. Lutz also declared that Franklin was the first person to let him know about the remake they intend to produce.
In the interview he gave for Us Weekly he also talked about his past in acting, namely his starring in the Twilight series. There he played the role of a buff vampire named Emmett Cullen, acting together with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. When asked about his favorite memory in the movie, he said that he loved most the fact that the cast was “organic” and that they managed to create together a special authenticity.
The series, which has five films, brought together not only Kellan Lutz, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, but also Ashley Greene, Anna Kendrick, Taylor Lautner, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone and others. The movie was also a step towards fame for many of the actors that joined the cast. Needless to say, it had a huge success and it was well received, but also critiqued by many people.
