Keira Knightley has some complaining to do as far as Duchess Kate Middleton is concerned. As you may know, in the case of all three of her births, Kate not only left the hospital carrying the new life in her arms, but she also looked flawless as she posed for the cameras. How is this possible!
In an essay, the actress went ahead and slammed the royal for setting some pretty unrealistic standards for how women should look like after giving birth.
Back in 2015, Keira and Kate welcomed daughters only within a day from each other.
The Duchess posed on the steps of the hospital, with Princess Charlotte in her arms that same day.
In her essay that was published by Refinery29, Keira wrote: ‘We stand and watch the TV screen. She was out of the hospital 7 hours later with her face made up and with high heels on. The face the world wants to see. Hide our pain, our bodies splitting and our breasts leaking, our hormones raging. Look beautiful, stylish, do not show your battleground, Kate.’
‘Seven hours after your fight with life and death, seven hours after your body splits open, and then a new bloody and screaming life comes out. Do not show. Do not tell. Stand there with your baby girl and be shot by a group of male photographers,’ she went on.
In actuality, Middleton stayed in the hospital for ten hours when welcoming Charlotte and in the case of Prince George in 2013, she actually stayed overnight.
Back in April, when she gave birth to Prince Louis however, she did stay in for only seven hours.
Either way, that is not the point! The point is that every time she left the facility, Kate Middleton was in custom Jenny Packham dresses, with makeup on and her hair done.
