Following Kesha’s allegations of physical, verbal, and mental abuse from disgraced Sony producer, Dr. Luke, new court documents indicate that Katy Perry admitted he never sexually assaulted her.
This comes on the heels of the ongoing defamation lawsuit against Kesha, on the part of Lukasz Gottwald, who claims the singer has permanently damaged his career and livelihood.
According to the documents via The Huffington Post, Katy indicates in the deposition that Luke never raped her. As it was previously reported, Kesha accused the producer of raping Perry in a 2016 text message with Lady Gaga.
In a statement to the media, the producer denied the charges as well as in the court documents. The lawyer asked her, “Are also aware that Kesha has made a statement that Dr. Luke raped you?”
To which the singer responded, “Yes.” However, the attorney then explicitly asks her if that was true, and she said, “No.” The lawyer also asked her if he had ever sexually assaulted her, and she stated, “absolutely not.”
Additional questions included whether Luke had given her a roofie, as well as whether they had a sexual relationship, to which Katy denied both inquiries.
The lawyer went on to say that Kesha and Lady Gaga spread negative messages about the producer and lies in the mainstream media as well as on social media.
Furthermore, in the court documents from Lady Gaga’s deposition, the singer claimed she had first heard the rumor that Luke raped Katy Perry from the CEO of Interscope Records, John Janick, who said off-hand one day that he had heard he “raped Katy too.”
Katy said she didn’t know who John Janick was, and couldn’t “pick him out of a crowd.” Moreover, Kelly Clarkson also appeared before the court and jury and spoke nothing but negativity about the producer, saying that no one likes him because he’s a “demeaning” “bully” as well as “sleazy.”
