As fans are probably aware by now, Katy Perry has made the first step towards ending her years-long feud with Taylor Swift. The star sent her enemy an apology letter as well as an actual olive branch, the symbol for peace. But don’t think the two performers are friends again!
We have learned that Katy is not very happy about the fact that Taylor shared part of her personal, handwritten letter on social media for the world to see.
Taylor did cover a big part of the message with the envelope it came in, but the gist of it was still visible.
‘Hey Old Friend — I have been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and hurt feelings between us,’ Katy wrote before mentioning she was ‘deeply sorry’ for something.
Is their reconciliation already over and their feud even more explosive?
It seemed like Taylor Swift was excited to start a new chapter with her nemesis and was grateful Katy Perry wanted to make peace.
‘I just got to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch. This means so much to me,’ Taylor captioned her post.
But sharing the letter with her 107 million followers is not something Katy is a big fan of.
‘Katy expected Taylor would post something about it, but she did not expect the actual letter to go on social. The thing is, you can only see part of what Katy wrote, and it looks like she is taking sole responsibility for the entire feud. Without context, it looks like she is taking the blame for everything, and obviously there is a lot more to it than that,’ one source told The Sun.
Do you think Taylor and Katy can end their feud now or is it going to get even worse between them? Was it right for Taylor to share the personal apology letter?
