Over twenty years later and Katie Holmes is still embracing her roots as Joey Potter from Dawson’s Creek. During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the 39-year-old actress opened up about the legendary TV show and its cast members.
So far, the cast and crew of the famous production have been adamantly opposed to the idea of a reunion. However, Katie’s words on the show seemed to demonstrate the opposite.
The girlfriend of Jamie Foxx said they “see each other now and then,” and “we’re all going to get together soon.” On the 21st of January of this year, Holmes and her friends celebrated the 20-year anniversary of the Warner Brother’s premiere of the romantic-drama starring James Van Der Beek and Holmes.
The star took to Instagram to share the script and said she was “grateful” for her time on the show. Katie stated, “I am so honored to have been a part of it.”
As you may know, Katie was previously married to Tom Cruise and starred in films such as Batman Begins among others.
As for her other castmates, Mary-Margaret-Humes – who spoke with Us Weekly on the 20th anniversary – said there was hope the cast and crew would get together in the future.
The star added, “some say too many people are dead and yadda, yadda, yadda,” but in her mind, she has a thought they can reunite.
Humes stated she was “harboring a little secret” and was merely throwing some ideas out there. As for Dawson’s Creek history, the original series aired from 1998 until 2003, and was partially responsible for the start of Holmes career, despite other members of the show not having quite as much success.
