Just two months after Thomas Ravenel was accused of sexual assault, his castmates on the set of Southern Charm addressed the scandal directly. During a reunion episode on the 19th of July, Andy Cohen didn’t hesitate to bring up the controversy.
He opened up the floor by reading verbatim from Ravenel’s statement as per his attorney-at-law. When Cohen asked Kathryn Dennis about what happened to Ravenel, she said she would refuse to comment until the situation had been “resolved.”
The reality star said she would be focusing on her children, instead of the sexual assault allegations. As you may know, the 26-year-old shares a four-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son with Ravenel.
During the last episode of the latest season, it was revealed that Kathryn would receive 50% custody of their kids after a custody battle as well as her struggle with substance abuse issues.
Coincidentally, one of the women Thomas supposedly assaulted was their nanny for two years. Dennis confirmed that fact. According to Dennis, right now, she and her children are “moving in the right direction.”
As it was previously reported, Debbie Perkins daughter, Ashley, accused the reality star of sexually assaulting Debbie after a Tinder date one evening.
And on the 4th of May, Bravo and Southern Charm‘s production team said they were conducting an investigation into the matter, as they take such allegations very seriously.
Dennis was careful with her words, but Shep Rose said that, while Ravenel is typically a very jovial person, there is another side to him that is not who he really is.
Ravenel supposedly attacked Debbie Reynolds one night after a date, according to Ashley Perkins, when he pushed her down and inserted his fingers into her genitalia. As a result, Ravenel won’t be appearing on the show until the investigation has been completed.
