Can you believe that Kate and Jon Gosselin’s sextuplets are starting eighth grade already? The proud mother took to social media to share a pic of the bunch ready for school, and they looked all grown up!
That being said, while for some fans it may seem like yesterday, it’s been more than a decade since Kate decided to turn her unusual life taking care of sextuplets and a pair of twins into reality television, letting people keep up with her storyline.
At the time, the six younger kids were still newborns while the twin daughters were also still pretty young.
But now, 14 years later, they are all teens which is pretty wild to think about. Time really flies.
The former reality TV celeb took six of her eight children to school on the first day and bid them a temporary goodbye on her platform by documenting the moment.
Cara and Mady are now high school seniors while the sextuplets are kicking off their very last year in middle school.
‘Feels like school never ended. And they’re already back! #SeniorYear #EighthGrade #ProudMom,’ Kate wrote in the caption.
From the family pic, Collin and Hannah were missing!
The mother of eight announced back in 2016 that Collin moved away from home to follow a special program teaching kids ‘life skills’ and meant to help him overcome his ‘educational and social challenges.’
‘There’s a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn some strategies to help him deal with things. This has been a struggle we have had for a very long time, and it’s one I’ve dealt with on my own,’ the TLC star said back then.
As for Hannah, her absence from the pic only ads to the confusion surrounding her custody and living arrangements.
A few days ago, her dad Jon made headlines when he claimed during an Insta live video that the 14-year-old lives with him ‘permanently’ now.
Soon after, a source told E! News that the man does not, in fact, have custody of any of his and Kate’s kids.
Regardless of the custody ruling, it could still mean she is living predominately with her dad, considering Hannah was not there to pose for the camera alongside her siblings on their first day of school.
