Karlie Redd, the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta alum, is now looking to get out of the Vh1 series and wants her new romance to serve as a trampoline for that idea. In a report from the Jasmine Brand, the publication claims that Karlie, who recently got engaged to Maurice Fayne, wants to get her shot at her own reality series.
Redd wants the show to revolve mostly around her engagement to her new fiancé. According to a source who spoke with the outlet, Karlie’s team is putting the work in to make her engagement to Maurice stand out as “more than a storyline.”
They want a special show that documents her wedding and then turn that into a reality series. Thus far, The Jasmine Brand claims, the Love And Hip-Hop franchise have only been able to have a couple successful spin-off series based on central characters, including Yandy Smith, K. Michelle, and Stevie J.
What’s ironic about all of this, is that previously, Hollywood Life reported that Karlie attended TI’s listening party on the 15th of August, where she was spotted without her bling-ring, sparking rumors of a dissolved engagement.
Ever since Mo’ proposed on the 18th of July, Karlie was wearing her diamond quite a lot but didn’t have it on during TI’s album party. Additionally, insiders who spoke with HL stated she was telling other guests that she was single.
Supposedly, the sources added, it was Mo who broke up with her, rather than the other way around. With that said, he was by her side when she released her latest record in July.
It was a fantastic night for her because he also got down on one knee during the same evening. Mo, according to HL, is her first serious boyfriend since breaking up with Sean Garrett earlier this year.
In the past, Karlie has shared her trepidation over the idea of marrying the wrong guy. She’s forty-years-old now, so hopefully, this latest one was the right choice.
