Weddings are typically a good opportunity for family members and distant relatives to reunite, unless your last name is Kardashian. When Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter exchange vows later this year, there won’t be a single Kardashian in sight, which probably won’t sit well with Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner.
Brody and Carter are planning on exchanging vows on Bali in what should be a super romantic ceremony. But given Brody’s bad blood with the Kardashian clan, he isn’t planning on inviting any of his half-sisters.
In fact, the only person related to the family that will be in attendance is Caitlyn Jenner, though there’s a chance that Kylie and Kendall Jenner receive invites. After all, they are his sisters.
Brody has not been quiet about his distaste for the Kardashians in recent years. During Coachella this past weekend, Brody allegedly bashed the reality stars, saying, “They’re not my f—king family.”
Brody’s bad feelings for the reality clan, of course, can be traced back to Kim and Kanye West’s wedding three years ago. At the time, the couple refused to allow Brody to bring his girlfriend and future wife to the ceremony, which obviously didn’t go over well with Brody. Kim tried to address the situation on KUWTK and explained how they were strict about the guest list because they were only allowed 200 invites.
To her credit, Brody had just started dating Kaitlynn at the time and Kim didn’t know if the romance was serious.
Considering Brody’s rocky past with the Kardashians, we understand why he doesn’t want to invite them to the wedding. In fact, according to In Touch Weekly, an inside source claims that Brody is tired of being associated with the Kardashians and wants nothing more to do with them.
“It’s no secret that Brody doesn’t care for the Kardashians,” the source explained, adding that “he hates being associated with the family at all.”
Brody and Kaitlynn got engaged back in May of 2016 after dating for around five years. The proposal took place in Sumba, an island in Indonesia. Brody announced the engagement on social media shortly after the proposal and was thrilled at the prospects of spending the rest of his life with Kaitlynn. Kaitlynn also posted a note about the engagement and showed off her impressive engagement ring.
The Kardashians have not commented on Brody Jenner’s decision to exclude them from his wedding.
