Reports say that Kanye West was high on alcohol and drugs when he had his breakdown.
It looks like the rapper has been using alcohol to drink his prescription pills for a decade and his addiction is the clinical cause of his depression, not to mention there are rumors that he is even addicted to cocaine.
According to an insider, “Kanye’s drugs of choice are cocaine and booze, Hennessy specifically. He’s got big problems!”
Surprisingly, Kim Kardashian has known about his drug use for a long time and it made her miserable.
“Kanye would go to a drug den hangout in West Hollywood to get away from everything. He’d disappear for days or weeks at a time. He and Kim had huge bust-ups over it.”
In the end, his unhealthy lifestyle pushed him over the line of sanity and Kanye broke down on November 21 while at the gym.
West “suffers from temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration,” Dr. Michael Farzam shared about the entertainer’s condition.
Because of his use of narcotics, the rapper became paranoid when the doctors approached him at the hospital. “He got all kinds of crazy and delusional because he was high as a kite,” added the source. “He hadn’t slept, was high for days and began having hallucinations and paranoia.”
Kanye was even put on a suicide watch while at the psychiatric ward because he once confessed: “There were times that I contemplated suicide.”
An old friend of Kanye’s admitted that the rapper has “been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia,” as a child.
“When his mother was alive she kept him on those meds. She was his rock. After she passed away nine years ago, he just went crazy [on hard-core drugs].”
Lexapro, a drug used to treat anxiety and depression has really bad side effects and yet Kanye seems to be very fond of the pills, even rapping about them.
“It plays havoc with a person’s brain chemistry, and people can become suicidal,” addiction expert Dr. Gregory Smith explained. “He needs effective intervention, not more drugs!”
West fears that he might lose his children. If the rapper is judged an “unfit parent,” Child Protection Services will “start an investigation and take the children away from him,” explained CPS specialist Roland Bini.
