Today, Kanye West took to his social media platform of choice to gush about his love for the Deadpool films! The rapper even tweeted that he’d totally let the production team include some of his songs in the franchise’s soundtrack if they so wished.
Alongside a bunch of fire emojis, Kanye wrote: ‘I love both Deadpool movies. I heard tracks in it that sound similar to mine…bro, I would have cleared my music for Deadpool.’
He went on to tweet once again, praising the films’ for their out of the box approach to the superhero genre in a some would say, oversaturated industry.
‘Your guys writing and approach is innovative … I love how you guys break the fourth wall… thank you for being so innovative and please know I am down to clear next time.’
As those who’ve watched the Deadpool sequel know already, the producers chose to parody the James Bond films’ iconic credit sequences, set to ‘Ashes’ by Celine Dion.
But upon reading Kanye’s tweets, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds apparently agreed that some songs off the official soundtrack did sounds very ‘similar’ to Ye’s tracks, blaming Dion for it.
Reynolds retweeted West’s first post, only jokingly concurring and saying that ‘I’m having a word with Celine Dion.’
But while Kanye is super open to making some music for the next Deadpool film, Reynolds has said before that he is not even sure a third one would be made.
‘Deadpool 3 would have to really do something completely different I think. But that’ll be a lot of fun, so we’ll see,’ he told ET.
Would you like to hear some Kanye West music in the next Deadpool if they decide to make another one after all? Let us know!
