Oh, babies! Kandi Burruss is about to get her hands and heart full because in 2019, she and husband Todd Tucker will be having two or even three babies.
The Xscape diva has announced that she has selected a surrogate for her and Todd to have another child together.
However, in the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Todd and Kandi dropped some big news.
Talking to her OBGYN, (and Married to Medicine star) Dr. Jackie Walters, Kandi explained that she has two embryos left “from when we got Ace.”
She revealed: “I only want to do it if we can do them both. I don’t want to leave anybody behind.”
Todd said they “need two surrogates,” because he does not want any babies left on the ice. Kandi responded by: “That would be crazy.”
The doctor went on to reveal the cost of having two surrogates: “And it’s going to cost you twice as much. From $90,000-$130,000 to have a surrogate.”
Kandi said even if her daughter, Riley, is not for it, she wants to move ahead with the process. The businesswoman shared: “I am not comfortable leaving the babies on ice.”
The doctor went on to say that they might end up with twins or “triplets.” She explained: “So we can potentially have two mamas or one mama with twins.”
Kandi said she is both excited and nervous about the whole process. She stated: “Todd and I are both nervous about it I think it’s easier for Todd to handle or deal with because as a man he’s used to somebody else carrying the baby. But for me, it’s a little bit harder for me to deal with the thought because I’m supposed to carry my own kids in my mind. But, hey, with science, it’s made other options to be able to make it happen.”
Kandi revealed why she has difficulties conceiving: “After having multiple fibroids surgeries, and still the fact that I have not been able to get pregnant the last two years, I know that I am going to have to do the same process again. [I had] a couple of scares during my pregnancy with Ace. I was a high risk, and I did have bleeding a few times. So my womb is just, it’s not the best place to have a healthy pregnancy with no issues.”
The couple has three children between them, Kaela, Riley, and Ace.
