RHOA’s star, Kandi Burruss is supporting her friend, the comedian Mo’Nique. She posted some really touching words for her amidst her desire to boycott Netflix which doesn’t seem to be supported by too many people.
If you don’t know what happened, we’ll tell you. A few weeks ago, Mo’Nique posted on her social media account a message asking her fans to support her and boycott Netflix after the streaming service reportedly offered her just $500K for a comedy special.
You have all heard of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements that are pushing for equal pay for women especially for women of color.
On the other hand, Mo’Nique’s request was not a successful one, and it seems that it went unheard among her fans and followers.
Hey my luvs! I would like for y’all to stand with me on this #ThrowbackThursday as I send some love @therealmoworldwide’s way. With all the drama that’s been coming at Monique lately I figured I’d send some positive vibes when I came across this pic with her, @leverticus, & @jingjingharris. It was all Luv when we took this pic about 13yrs ago. #TBT #ILoveUsForReal
Kandi is standing by her friend, and she asked her followers to send her lots of positive energy. Check out what she said:
‘With all the drama that’s been coming at Monique lately, I figured I’d send some positive vibes when I came across this pic with her.’
This is how she captioned the 13-year-old photo that Kandi posted for her #ThrowbackThursday.
This lovely gesture from Kandi comes right after Gary Owen slammed Mo’Nique for what she wanted and he posted an Instagram rant criticizing her for the fact that she publicly stated that Will Packer, the film producer wants to ruin her character.
