A debate about police brutality has been sparked by Kandi Burruss, accidentally.
Kandi of The Real Housewives of Atlanta recently shared a sweet video of her son, Ace, and his father, Todd Tucker, who had an acting class.
In the clip, Todd plays a police officer while Ace takes on the role of a criminal who is running away.
With a plastic gun, Todd pretends to shoot Ace, and he plays dead before telling her father — “you shot me, you shot me.”
Kandi captioned the post: “Morning shenanigans with @todd167 & @acewellstucker. This takes 2 of Todd’s acting classes. I’m gonna put Take 1 & 3 on my insta story. #DaddyDaycare #ToddAndAce #RaisingAce.”
One person said Ace is talented and he is the next Denzel Washington and added: “Ace looked confused after like wait are we finish with my script? I needed something like this on my timeline with all this drama going on! Toooo cuteee, the new Denzel!”
However, many decided to bring an important issue affecting this country — the killings of young African-American men and boys in the hands of police.
One person said: “That was funny. Look at that face. You go to Ace. I can’t take that cuteness with that smile on while he’s acting it out. Come on! Tamir Rice was Totally Different ( but if he was Taught Properly He Would Be Still Here) You didn’t play Pretend With Your Parents When You Was Coming Up? Stop Judging! Ace Played It Well! Trust & Believe They Will Not Have To Worry About Ace Running From The Police! This Form of Child Play Has Taught Him That! Something Tamir Rice Didn’t Receive From His Parents! I Am Just Saying!!”
Another person responded by: “Todd is an awesome father. This warmed my heart. I had to watch this a few times, and yep I laughed at Ace each time. I’m sure he’s well on his way to being a great actor. But I gotta say is the dumbest reply ever! And if you honestly think Ace won’t grow up and possibly have a run in with the police you’re a fool! Tamir was 12! Playing in a park which boys are doing all the time with fake guns! It’s called cops and robbers! Do you know Tamir parents? The cops shot him without leaving the car! I pray Ace never has those problems but just bc you got money don’t mean you ain’t still a black man and will get treated as such. They don’t see our boys as boys! They see them as men when they’re kids. And lastly, you don’t have to run to get killed by cops! Philando taught us that.”
