Diva Kandi Burruss has fans of TLC in tears because she has decided to bring them down memory lane by paying tribute to Left Eye.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star shared a gorgeous picture that features the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes as they were filming the music video for Xscape’s “Am I Dreaming” that features Keith Sweat.
Kandi wrote: “#FBF with #LeftEye. She was a beautiful person inside & out. #TLC #RIPLeftEye.”
Left Eye, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas formed TLC and reigned as one of the biggest female R&B groups of all time selling over 65 million records worldwide, with hit songs like “Creep,” “Waterfalls,” “No Scrubs,” and “Unpretty.”
One fan said: “I didn’t realize how little she really was. But I remember being 22, fresh out of college and a brand new resident of Atlanta.I love #lefteye. She was so self-aware of herself and her surroundings, and she was on another level TLC was the hottest thing out there! Some of the best (and worst) years of my life!).❤️ RIP LeftEye.”
Another commenter wrote: “You’re Riley’s twin..all this time I never thought she looked like you until this pic. Xscape and TLC will always be on the top list of R&B groups. I will never forget the day Left Eye died. My daughter was born that day, and I named her Aaliyah because she was also one of my favorites and it was 8 months exactly after she had passed away. I still listen to Xscape, TLC, Aaliyah and many of the 90’s artist. I listen on a daily basis. I love y’all.”
This person claimed: “Girl Riley looks just like you left eye was my girl she did not play burn tennis shoes to burn down a mansion love that girl and Kandi you know you are my favorite from day one. I’m guessing this was the video set of “Am I dreaming”… I remember the hair and dress.”
A fourth supporter revealed: “My God miss you left eye looking down on us saying wtf happened to the game… cardi b and cash me outside! Yes, Lisa left eye princess the game is a joke now girl. Just know I screenshotted this photo and stored it to my lock screen’s wallpaper! I loveeeee Left Eye! She was such a dope person to study! I did a report on her in my communications course and what started out as a “because she’s my favorite female from TLC” turn into WOW I really wish I could’ve met her! Her learnings while on this earth are a bit more than interesting. She opened my eyes! Frfr! Love you Kandi!”
