It sounds like Kailyn Lowry is not too fond of the way Kylie Jenner portrays young motherhood. The Teen Mom star slammed the makeup mogul, accusing her of glamorizing the ‘situation.’
While talking about her own trials and challenges as a young mom on Heidi and Spencer Pratt’s ‘Make Speidi Famous Again’ podcast, Lowry went after Kylie by saying ‘I mean, I do not want to hate her because clearly, she is so successful. But when you are that young, and you have that much money, and you are able to have a nanny and have a lot of help, and you still do all of these things, I think that shows that it is kind of glamorous to have a kid so young.’
As fans of Teen Mom know, Kailyn had her firstborn at the age of only 17.
She went on to say that ‘I mean, she was not a teenager. Obviously, it is slightly different … I wouldn’t agree that our show makes it glamorous, but with situations like Kylie, they do not realize that she has millions of dollars, and she has a ton of help, and she can still go out and party and do all of these things. So I think that makes it seem slightly glamorous.’
But don’t worry, she was not too harsh on the Jenner and even ended up defending her, obviously not too sure what to think about Kylie as a mom, herself.
So Lowry backtracked by saying: ‘But also, I mean, she didn’t ask to be a role model. It’s so hard because obviously, I don’t want to mom-shame her at all, but just looking at the different scenarios, they’re just completely different. So it’s weird. It is hard because how do you look at the situations and you are, like, ‘OK, that is glamorous, that isn’t glamorous.’ But really, nobody should look up to us in that aspect. I don’t know.’
