Justin Timberlake took a break from his Man Of The Woods tour and stopped at a hospital in Texas to meet a young girl who survived the Sante Fe High School shooting. Justin sat down with Sarah Salazar and gave her a gift too.
According to the young girl’s social media page, GoFundMe, Sarah is currently in the intensive care unit and is heading down a long “road to recovery” after going through an emergency surgery.
Her aunt, who created the GoFundMe page, said her niece suffered several broken bones including a shattered shoulder and her “mandible is fractured,” in addition to several broken ribs.
The shooter hit her in the neck and she incurred several injuries all over her body because of it. Her aunt claims she needs to undergo more surgeries.
And Justin was just in the area so the legendary entertainer stopped by the hospital to say hello. He wrote on his social media post, “Texas Strong.”
As the world knows, a 17-year-old boy ran through a high school in Texas on the 18th of June and killed ten people and injured thirteen others. Following the incident, many celebrities addressed the incident and used the situation to ask for gun control.
Kelly Clarkson, for instance, made an appearance at the Billboard Music Awards and said we are “grieving for more kids” who are dying for no reason. Clarkson asked for change, rather than a moment of silence. This year, school shootings seem to happen almost every week.
According to a report from CNN, the United States has seen over twenty so far this year, once again, sparking a nationwide debate on whether gun control is necessary. However, the issue has become – or perhaps it has always been – highly polarized, so a compromise seems unlikely, unfortunately.
