Joy-Anna Duggar has laid pretty low since announcing her first pregnancy back in August. Since then, the internet has blown up with rumors that she and Austin Forsyth had a shotgun wedding because they got pregnant out of wedlock. Of course, in normal society that wouldn’t be a big deal, but in Duggar world, it could be incredibly damaging to their wholesome image.
Her sister, Jinger, recently revealed that she is going to have a baby, and when Joy-Anna joined her siblings to record a congratulatory video, her comments left Duggar Nation buzzing. Did she just confirm the shotgun wedding rumor?

The Hollywood Gossip is reporting that in the video, Joy-Anna says, “Yeah I’m excited because it’s only going to be six months longer than mine.”
Obviously, all pregnancies generally last about the same amount of time, so fans are sure what Joy-Anna meant to say is that Jinger’s due date is six months after hers. When people started doing the math, the timeline raised some eyebrows.
Duggar obsessed fans have narrowed down Jinger’s date of conception, so Joy-Anna gave away a lot more information than she probably meant to. When Jinger made her pregnancy announcement, she said she wasn’t far enough along to know the baby’s gender. This means she is less than 16 weeks. Also, Duggar women usually announce their pregnancies at the end of the first trimester – which is common, since the likelihood of a miscarriage goes way down at that point – which means Jinger is probably around 12 weeks along.
And that would mean that Joy-Anna is giving birth this month, just seven months after she walked down the aisle. So, her claims that she got pregnant on her honeymoon in late May seem to be misleading.
According to Radar Online, the 20-year-old and her husband have decided not to reveal their baby’s due date, opting instead to keep it a secret.
Ever since they announced they were expecting, the size of Joy-Anna’s baby bump has been the topic of tons of speculation and scrutiny. Different doctors who haven’t treated the reality star claim that she looks much further along than she claims to be in each of her baby bump photos.
Per Cafe Mom, the couple isn’t helping the shotgun wedding rumors. With their secrecy over the baby’s due date and gender, they are essentially fueling the fire. Fans can’t wait to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl and the internet will lose its mind if he or she arrives before late February – which would be exactly nine months after the Forsyth’s got married.
Joy-Anna Duggar has not publicly acknowledged the rumors surrounding her pregnancy and due date.
