Josh Homme, the singer and guitar player of the alternative rock band, Queens Of The Stone Age, recently came out to commemorate the late Anthony Bourdain when he shared a letter written by the chef.
The letter written by the late master chef came along with a note from Homme describing his feelings of loss, as well as much how he has mourned Anthony’s untimely death.
As it was previously reported, Bourdain was found dead in his hotel on the 8th of June, in what coroners described as death by asphyxiation. His death was right around the same time as Kate Spade, who also died by suicide. You can check out the actual written letter in a tweet below:
Tony, I miss you bad. Once, Camille was so mad at you. She was defending me. & So were you. Ariane, this was your father. Humbly yours, Joshua pic.twitter.com/sR3mwO5WBI

Bourdain apologized to Camille, Josh’s daughter because she thought that Bourdain smashed one of her father’s guitars.
However, not only was it not his guitar, but the instrument smashing was done in reference to the 1970’s comedy film, Animal House, a film Hommes and Anthony enjoyed as kids.
In case you haven’t seen it, John Belushi smashes a man’s guitar while at a house party in the 1970’s cult-comedy. Bourdain wrote that he and Josh were just joking around, having fun at the expense of the musical instrument, as well as the late Belushi, who lost his life over twenty years ago.
Anthony joked in his letter that he probably wouldn’t be alive today had he destroyed Homme’s actual guitar. The chef stated he and Josh were good friends, and he liked him “very much.”
As you may know, Anthony Bourdain was, perhaps, one of the most iconic celebrity chefs to come out of the United States. The cook was the boyfriend of Asia Argento, the actress who vehemently spoke out against Harvey Weinstein in the midst of the #MeToo allegations which rocked the world last year, and at the beginning of 2018.
