The Newsroom star Olivia Munn and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers broke up over a year ago, but the actress is just now opening about the split. And, this confuses the NFL star’s brother, Jordan Rodgers.
The Bachelorette alum doesn’t usually talk about his brother’s personal life, but he did have one thing to say about Munn’s recent remarks.
“I’ll say I have no idea why she’s still talking about an ex, I don’t get that,” said JoJo Fletcher’s fiance.
Munn dated Aaron for three years before their relationship came to an end last April, and she talked about it for the first time this past week when she visited Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show, Radio Andy. She admitted that she has avoided talking about the quarterback for a long time, but she finally wanted to set the record straight about the accusations that she was the reason her ex had a strained relationship with his family.
According to The Daily Mail, the 37-year-old explained that she met Aaron’s parents only a couple of times because he was having problems with his family before they started dating. She said that Aaron hadn’t talked to his parents and one of his brothers for eight months, and despite the rumors to the contrary, she encouraged Aaron to mend his relationship with his family back in 2014 while working on The Newsroom.
She says that on her last day on the set she spent the entire day in her trailer encouraging Aaron to have an honest conversation with his parents. He did make the call, and for a moment it seemed to work because his parents started coming to Green Bay. But, the drama eventually resurfaced, and Aaron’s relationship with his parents remained damaged.

At the end of the day, Munn says that there are a lot of complications, and neither side is clean, but there can be problems when your family’s dreams are connected to your success. She went on to say that it isn’t OK to try to stand on someone’s shoulders and then try to throw dirt in their face, but that’s what Munn thinks happened with Aaron and his parents.
The actress says that her ex-boyfriend had to balance football with his family drama, and she thinks that is unfortunate because it was distracting. She says everyone knows that being a quarterback is the hardest position in any sport, and he is putting himself on the line every game, and having such a distraction is unacceptable.
But, Munn says she tried to remain supportive of Aaron and encourage him. But, after their relationship ended last year, they lost touch and no longer speak.
Jordan Rodgers and Aaron Rodgers have reportedly not spoken in years, maybe a common enemy could change all that?
