Kit Harington has been busy filming for the upcoming season of Game of Thrones and was recently spotted on the set of King’s Landing. Fans are already speculating that Harington’s presence at the site means only one thing: Jon Snow will sit on the Iron Throne when the series wraps next year.
According to Express, Harington was spotted out and about in Dubrovnik, Croatia. A fan claims to have spotted the Game of Thrones star walking in the city, which is home to the King’s Landing set. The sighting has not been verified, but it could have significant implications on how things pan out in Season 8, including who wins the Iron Throne.
“Dubrovnik, my hometown, they’re filming #GameofThrones there right now, I’m 99.9 percent sure that was him,” the fan wrote on Twitter.
The fan has since deleted the account, which casts serious doubt on the veracity of the sighting.

If Harington is in Croatia filming, then it certainly adds a new twist to Jon’s story. For the past few seasons, it’s been clear that Jon’s fate rests in a war with the Night King (Vladimir Furdik), but his cameo in King’s Landing could indicate that Jon will successfully defeat the army of the dead and move on King’s Landing.
We already know that Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau — who play Cersei and Jaime Lannister — are in Croatia filming, so it’s possible that they are shooting the conclusion of the series. That doesn’t mean Jon will come out victorious, but it does mean that he’ll be alive to see who wins the throne once and for all.
Jon isn’t the only one vying for the Iron Throne. Some fans believe that Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) could end up ruling Westeros once the dust settles.
The theory contends that Sansa’s entire story has prepared her to rule. She survived years in King’s Landing when Joffrey was King and learned a lot about manipulation from Little Finger. If she becomes Queen of Westeros, then Gendry — Robert Baratheon’s bastard son — could become her husband.

If that happened, then it would fulfill King Robert’s wish back in Season 1 to unite the Baratheons and Starks via marriage.
Although Sansa would be a good candidate to sit on the Iron Throne, the chances of that happening are slim. Not only is she contending with the likes of Cersei, Jon and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), but footage was leaked last week that showed the Winterfell set engulfed in flames.
The video clearly shows that there will be a massive battle at Winterfell in the final season, and it doesn’t look like things end well for the Starks.
