Even rich people can have financial problems and Johnny Depp is the perfect example. The 53-year-old still has enough cash in the bank, but he’s keen on to recovering $25 million from his business managers, after they mishandled his money.
Depp filled for a lawsuit on Friday and submitted 52 pages to be analyzed and processed, as he’s determined to retrieve $25 million from The Mandel Co, The Management Group, and several other defendants. The actor’s attorney, Matthew Kanny, stated in the complaint that the Pirates of the Caribbean star was the victim of gross misconduct of his business managers, who made use of Depp’s money and lost it.
To make things even worse, the actor had to sell some assets to cover the loss. No point in stating that Depp wasn’t too happy about this aspect, as besides the sum, he claimed a jury trial, relying on the fact that he’s one of the most loved Hollywood actors.
Johnny Depp’s complain is quite thick, stating that the actor relied on TMG to handle his finances, but instead was fooled and striped down from a huge amount of money. Matthew Kanny praised him, saying that he’s a hard worker, who, over the years, tried to assure himself a stable financial future.
TMG attorney Michael Kump disapproved Depp and said that his statement is full of lies, his financial struggle being the result of his own actions. Kump claimed that the actor spent dollar after dollar without noticing and now he’s trying to put the blame on someone else.
Johnny Depp’s problem comes just after his divorce from Amber Heard was finalized. Many say that his ex is now a very happy woman, being all alone. We just wonder how will Johnny cope with so many struggles…
