Almost five years after John Travolta famously mislabeled Idina Menzel, “Adele Dazeem,” during the 2014 Academy Awards, Travolta is going viral once again, except for a more positive reason. The 64-year-old actor revealed his latest film at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday, and at the after-party, John danced alongside 50 Cent on stage.
The Battlefield Earth creator danced to the song, “Just a Lil’ Bit,” and the iconic rapper tweeted a video of it with the caption saying it was the only reason for going to Cannes.
50 Cent said to his social media followers, “I swear I only came out here because of him.” There’s no question the star knows how to dance, and it makes perfect sense considering his roles in the classic films, “Grease,” and “Saturday Night Fever.”
While the Hollywood star rocked out on stage, the audience appeared to love it. Coincidentally, three years ago, in 2015, Travolta spoke with Jimmy Kimmel about dancing while at events.

Travolta said that when you’re dancing, it’s best “not to make too big of a deal out of it.” He explained that he would just “have fun,” rather than be ostentatious for the sake of getting attention.
As you may know, in recent years, Travolta has become somewhat of a meme for a few different reasons, with a couple of them being quite negative and embarrassing.
Notably, his film “Battlefield Earth” was widely panned by everyone in Hollywood and was even harshly mimicked on Saturday Night Live. Critics slammed the movie for its bizarre use of what is called, “Dutch angles,” as well as an incoherent plot and unrealistic scenarios.
Some cinephiles weren’t willing to suspend their disbelief enough to enjoy one of the final scenes of the movie, whereby cavemen drive fighter jets. Even though “Battlefield Earth” was an unforgivable sin to many, John’s dance moves clearly made up for his past blunders.
