We have learned that Joe Jackson has passed away at the age of 89 following health problems. The Jackson family patriarch reportedly died today, and his loved ones were by his side for their final goodbyes.
One insider told ET that the man had been in the hospital due to suffering from terminal cancer.
Supposedly, he had been battling the illness for a long time but not too long ago, the medical specialists told the family that there was nothing more they could do so his time on this Earth was limited.
Joe Jackson was also taken to the hospital back in 2016 after having a very high fever, and at the time, speculations started going around that he had passed out but the man himself denied the rumors.
The health scare did not stop there as he also suffered a stroke on his 87th birthday back in 2015.
Despite his old age, Joe recovered proving how tough he was.
Speaking of, Joe referenced this toughness he possessed in a video dedicated to his grandson Blanket, when he advised him to ‘Be like me: Be tough, in a good way, and you’ll live a long time.’
Joe Jackson was a beloved father to quite a big number of children, including music legends Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson.
It only makes sense that many of his kids went on to be artistically skilled, especially in music as he was a famous talent manager.
He is well known for managing his sons’ group The Jackson 5.
Ultimately, he lived a long and fulfilling life and was at peace with his imminent mortality judging by his wise words on social media.
Joe Jackson’s legacy will live forever, and we’re sure he will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace.
