Counting On stars Jinger Duggar Vuolo and Kendra Caldwell Duggar are both expecting the next bundles of joy for the Duggar family, but the question is: who will be next?
Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth just gave birth to her first child last week – a 10 lb. 3 oz. baby boy named Gideon Martyn – and that leaves two Duggar women who have confirmed – both Jessa Duggar Seewald and Jill Duggar Dillard are rumored to be expecting their third child – that have a bun in the oven.
If you have been paying attention to the Duggar pregnancy announcements, it looks like 19-year-old Kendra will become a mom before 24-year-old Jinger.
Back in December, Kendra and her husband Joseph Duggar announced their baby news in a video posted to YouTube. They told fans that they have always dreamed of having their own family, but it was surreal that it was actually happening.
Joseph admitted at the time that he thought they were going to have a boy, but Kendra replied that she thinks it could be a girl.
Of course, all of this was happening in true Duggar style. The pregnancy announcement came just weeks after the couple tied the knot in September.
In February, Kendra and Joseph found out that they were having a boy and said their minds were already racing about the future memories they were going to make with their firstborn. They have yet to announce a due date, but the speculation is that it is sometime in June.
It isn’t clear if Kendra will opt for a home birth like the other Duggar women, or if she will deliver in a hospital. But, the couple has already followed the Duggar traditions of meeting in church, courting for a few months, getting married, and then getting pregnant, so it stands to reason that a home birth might be the plan for this young couple.
Kendra’s mother-in-law, Michelle Duggar, gave birth to her first five children in a hospital, but babies six and seven were delivered at home. Michelle liked the home birth experience so much she chose to use the techniques taught to her by the midwife for the rest of her children, but to implement the practices in the safety of a hospital.
Jessa Duggar Seewald welcomed both of her two boys at home. But after delivering her second son, Henry, her family called 911 and had her rushed to the hospital because she was losing so much blood.
Jill Duggar Dillard also attempted to give birth at home with both of her sons, but difficult labor forced her to go to the hospital both times, and she ended delivering via C-section.
Joy-Anna had planned on giving birth to Gideon at home, but at the last minute changed her plans and she delivered in a hospital.
As for Jinger, she and her husband Jeremy Vuolo announced in January that they were expecting for the first time, but unlike her siblings, they waited for over a year before starting a family.
According to Jeremy’s bio on his church’s website, Jinger is due in July, and she has been keeping fans in the loop on social media with baby bump updates every few weeks.
So, Kendra will probably be the next Duggar woman to give birth, followed very soon by Jinger. But, no matter who ends up being the next Duggar mom, fans can be sure to expect two new Duggar babies this summer.
Fans can stay up-to-date on Kendra Caldwell and Jinger Duggar’s pregnancies on new episodes of Counting On, Monday nights on TLC.
