We are getting super close to the birth of Counting On star Jinger Duggar’s baby girl, and this past weekend her husband Jeremy Vuolo had fans convinced that she was in labor. It took just one picture and two words on Instagram to get Duggar fans buzzing about the possible early arrival of Baby Vuolo. However, a second pic – that showed Jinger out and about – calmed fans down until they realized that there was someone noticeably absent.
According to Cafe Mom, it all started when Vuolo posted a sweet pic of the him and his wife showing off her nine-month baby bump, and wrote the caption, “ETA: soon.” But even though she isn’t due until July, fans immediately thought that the 24-year-old was in labor.
Jinger is about 37 weeks along, and all of her sisters have gone past their due dates, but fans know that Jinger is the rebel and likes to do things her own way. Why would giving birth be any different?
But, a second picture showed Jinger smiling while standing in between her sisters Jana and Jessa – who apparently are in Laredo, Texas, for a visit – and it was clear that Jinger wasn’t in labor. But, the picture also made fans start to ask: Where is Jill?
Jill is a midwife who has always been present when her sisters are in labor, so why isn’t she in Texas with Jinger? Could there be something going on between the two sisters?
While fans wait patiently for the arrival of Jinger’s daughter, Jill is back in Arkansas breaking her family rules. Until recently, Jill had the reputation of being more on the conservative side of things, like her parents. Many fans remember the episode of 19 Kids & Counting where Jill infamously modified some pants into a skirt when she volunteered as a firefighter/EMT.
But those days are a thing of the past, and her idea of modest clothing has definitely shifted. Last week, Jill posted a pic of herself actually wearing a bathing suit while enjoying a day at the pool with her husband, Derick Dillard, and her sons Israel and Samuel.
Then, Dillard posted a pic of himself and his wife out hiking, and Jill was wearing a flowy tank top and shorts. We could see her shoulders and knees for the first time, and fans were pleasantly surprised.
But, just because she has loosened up on her dress code, it doesn’t mean that Jill doesn’t stay true to her family’s standards and core values. And, she couldn’t even make the change on her own. In the Duggar belief system, fathers have control over what their daughters wear until they get married – then that power transfers to their husbands.
Jinger Duggar will return in new episodes of Counting On July 30th on TLC.
