Jimmy Kimmel joked about Kanye West’s recent wild interview on TMZ during his latest Jimmy Kimmel Live! episode. As it was previously reported, Kanye made controversial remarks including comments regarding slavery.
As the reports go, Kanye said that “400 years of slavery” was a choice, and by that, he meant that American blacks today, and white people too, are enslaved to self-imposed limitations and inhibiting beliefs, rather than actual slavery.
He even took to Twitter later and defended his original remarks, stating that he “obviously” knew that slaves weren’t shackled and taken to America on “free will.” On Jimmy’s show, the talk show host joked that he can’t talk about both Donald Trump and Kanye West at once, it’s simply too much material to work with.
The host joked that “one of them would have to stop.” Moreover, the talk show host claimed Kanye’s speech on TMZ was worse than Garey Busey’s time on Celebrity Rehab.
In case you missed it, the rapper took heat for his appearance on TMZ when he revealed he was addicted to opioids following his liposuction surgery. Over time, he took two pills a day and eventually took eight.
Kimmel said, “maybe you should be taking eight.” And while everyone in the audience laughed, some on social media took offense to Jimmy making light of drug abuse.
As you may know, Kanye is getting a lot of attention these days just after releasing his newest track, “Ye versus the People” with fellow rapper, TI.
In the track, Kanye criticizes the notion that black people must be Democrats or else they’re considered to be “coons.” Moreover, Kanye found himself some unlikely compatriots including Stacey Dash.
The conservative pundit wrote on her blog that she experienced a backlash of her own when she began supporting Mitt Romney instead of Barack Obama during the election in 2007. The actress said that the Democratic Party hasn’t supported black-Americans for a long time, which explained her transition to the Republicans.
