Former Counting On star Jill Duggar sent the pregnancy rumors into overdrive this week when she posted a series of pics on Instagram, and fans thought they saw a baby bump. To be honest, Duggar does appear to be carrying a few extra pounds in the photo, but there is a simple explanation as to why.
As In Touch Weekly reports, fans were so focused on Duggar’s supposed bump, that they failed to notice the fall leaves and the long sleeves – it’s obviously not a recent pic. Instead, it appears to be a family photo from last fall, just weeks after she gave birth to her second son, Samuel.
But, this isn’t the first time in recent months that fans have thought Dillard was expecting. Earlier this year, the family shared a pic on Facebook that convinced people a baby was on the way. Three months ago, her husband, Derick Dillard, shared a pic with prenatal vitamins in the background. But, the brand was for before, during, and after pregnancy.
And, last month Duggar shared a video of Samuel and her oldest son, Israel, eating pickles, and fans thought the 3-year-old broke the news that he was getting a little brother or sister.
Even if Duggar isn’t expecting baby number three, the recent pics she has shared of Israel and Samuel have shown that her boys are growing up fast. Fans loved the new pics and left comments like, “They are getting so big!! I can’t believe it.”
Others noticed Duggar’s appearance and left some positive comments for a change. Fans loved her clothes and said she looked “absolutely stunning.”
But, praise for the 27-year-old was short-lived. Once Duggar posted a new recipe for her chicken salad, people went from giving the mom-of-two compliments to expressing their horror over the “god-awful” recipe.
Duggar shared the ingredients for the “homemade” dish on the family’s website, but fans weren’t impressed. One Reddit user called it “lazy,” and said it is the result of putting gross chicken in a bowl and smothering it with mayo. Another called it “nasty,” while a third asked if there was a puddle in the middle.
The five-ingredient recipe of one can of chicken, mayo, salt, pepper, and lemon seemed to really offend a lot of people, and the picture of soggy chicken didn’t help. But, this isn’t the first time Duggar’s recipes have caused an outrage.
In the past, Duggar seemingly plagiarized recipes that she posted on her website and tried to claim them as her own. After fans called her out, Jill Duggar eventually added links.
New episodes of Counting On will premiere in July on TLC.
