It looks like the two are very good and dedicated parents. Jessie James Decker and Eric Decker really want their kids to feel loved and grow up confident.
While in attendance at an event organized to launch her book Just Jessie: My Guide to Love, Life, Family, and Food, the Deckers talked to E! News, opening up about their parenting techniques.
They also gushed over their three kids – 6 months old Forrest Bradley, 2 year old Eric and 4 year old Rose, making it very clear that they absolutely adore them!
The country crooner, who is also a brand ambassador for South Beach Diet, shared with the outlet that she is yet to tell them about body image.
However, ‘I tell them they’re beautiful. I tell them they’re special.’
In addition, the parents make sure to ‘feed them healthy’ and the young ones, fortunately, eat ‘what we eat,’ be it vegetables or any other healthy meal.
‘I just give my kids confidence, the same thing my mom also did. They are beautiful and wonderful and so smart and I make sure that they hear it every day,’ the proud mother explained.
Jessie James knows how it feels to have low self-esteem due to the fact that she was bullied while in school, which is why it is so important to her that the kids are confident.
‘Hopefully, Vivianne never gets bullied but if she does, I need to instill in her like my mom did, the confidence and make sure I always tell her how wonderful she is and that those things do not mean anything.’
‘The biggest message is to always be nice, be polite,’ Eric also shared what his teachings are.
From his point of view, teaching them manners creates ‘healthy habits and [cause them to] treat people with respect.’
